Ever since The Strokes touched down on these shores back in the spring with a now legendary gig at the Monarch, anticipation of their return has been high.
Now back in Britain with a new double-A sided single (Hard To Explain/New York City Cops) and album to promote, this promises to be one of the gigs of the year. It also marks a minor victory for the rejuvinated Rough Trade records, who are behind tonight's gig.
Get there early for support slots from Mull Historical Society and the riotous Moldy Peaches, who also played a bizarre but brilliant gig at the Monarch a few weeks back.
