Looking Forward To...

Jeans Team
Fri 4th Oct 2002, Kitty Yo @ 93 Feet East
Mon 7th Oct 2002 Trash @ the End
Tue 8th Oct 2002 NME On night @ Monarch

Kitty Yo have been at the forefront of pushing the best European music our way for the last couple of years, with a roster including Peaches, Gonzales, Louie Austen, Laub and Tarwater.

In 2000 the label released the awesome Keine Melodien single by Jeans Team (one version featuring Peaches on vocals) and then... nothing. Until now.

It's the usual story; wait ages for one Jeans Team show and then three come along at once. Not that we're complaining though, as the band's mix of industrial-strength beats and barbed vocals should make for a compelling live experience. Think of a European take on Adult. and you're in the right area.

The 4-piece were formed in 95, and they've been breaking down musical limitations with their electro punk, crazy messages, countless atoms, vibrating asphalt and inner love-parades ever since. Well that's what their website reckons.

The first London show, at 93 Ft East, promises to be a spectacular night, with Louie Austen also performing live and DJ sets from 2manyDJs (aka Soulwax) and new City Rocker Damian Lazarus. On the downside though, this 93 Ft East night is a tenner to get in to, and will probably be full of the usual in-crowd trendies.

If you don't have an early start on Tuesday, you may be better off waiting until Monday night and heading to The End, where JT will be making an appearance at the ever-excellent Trash night, which is still only £4 to get in to.

Failing that, and if you don't mind the stinky toilets and indie vibes, head to the Monarch for their final London date.

Whatever you do, don't miss this hot act!
